We climbed because we had confidence that the branches would hold us safely
We were confident that we had reached heights that only heroes could climb
We weren't afraid...we were confident that we could win any battle
We felt accomplished...we were confident we could do anything...we pushed ourselves to reach higher, run faster, rise to the occasion
We were free...we were confident the earth had no boundaries
Time was irrelevant...we were unincumbered by it...confident that we were masters of our minutes
We were confident in our imagination and our dreams and our vision of "when I grow up"
Never lose that confident heart, little ones. Don't let it happen. Regain it if need be!

This was just what the doctor ordered! Fabulous! BRAVO!
How trusting we are when young. I wish that we got braver as we got older. I guess it's because our eyes open to the real world. Still, we cannot live scared, but be the child inside and climb the mountain. I love your childish glee.
Confident heart! Love it!❤️ The pictue is so familiar to me. We had a tree that we always climbed that looked similar and there could pretty easily be three of us in it!😊💕
Love it, children are often our betters in this department!
This poem beautifully captures the theme of confidence.
This is deep, thought-provoking, motivating poem that also gives an inspirational message. Love it. The pic in the start is a beautiful childhood memory, I am guessing the others in the picture are your siblings; right?
This was so powerful, optimistic, uplifting and nostalgic! Loved your poem!
Nice one Shirley. It's a shame reality has to coral that confidence we have in our youth.
The sureness and liveliness of youth are expressed so well here!
Wonderful confident childhood memories and a brilliant motivational poem!!! Loving it!!!💕❤️❤️
Ahh, I felt this. It seems like confidence in the magic and hope of our world is slowly eroded with age. I loved this inspirational piece :)
I swear I though this was a photo I have of myself and my second cousins for a moment!
I am just loving it, you are totally right we should never leave that confidence which is becoming scared when we start growing older. Confidence should also grow with us. Well done.
