Kaleidoscope Eyes

A poem

The streetlight reflects the glow of the freshly fallen snow

Softly packed clouds drifting down as the wind blows

As I walk towards the moon it follows me around

Kissed by each drop, as it gently hits my brow

I walk in solitude paving a path less known

Looking at the world through kaleidoscope eyes

An aberration from the idealized picture perfect life

Each raindrop sings without unison

Uninhibited they dance against the norm

Fighting an endless battle

They bravely face the storm
