Just Passing By

Poetry in motion

Paraglider passes by @ Blue Bay_2026

With a single hop, he's ready to get off

Into the wind he floats, suspended in the breeze

A crowd gathers around as he floats by with ease.

He soars along like some disfigured bird

Back and forth along the salty sea

He puts on a spectacle for all to see.

Back and forth, up and down

He hovers over the shore across the sand

At some point he’ll work out where he will land.

He is in his own little world at the mercy of the wind

People stand mesmerized in absolute awe

The children clap, impressed by what they just saw.

[A/n:  I have written about the movies that go past my window on any particular day several times in the past. A few weeks ago it was the whales on their migration south. Then there was the shark in the blue bay. Last week it was dolphins surfing the waves after herring. Today it was the return of the paraglider. He inspired this poem. It was his fault. 😁😁]

Till next time,
