If one man would understand,

would I be brave enough light my fire?

If one man would see my truth,

Would I still shame in my desire?

-

If one man would smile at my theory,

would my heart swell with more?

If one man would wink at my pain,

Would I have some joy to store?

-

If just one man would try to see,

Would I show myself with pride?

If just one man would want to hear,

Would my words cease to hide?

-

If one lone man would cry my tears,

Just one lone man on Earth;

If just one lone man would understand,

Would I feel that I am worth?
