This is the end of that,
Now I deserve a coffee and maybe a chocolate,
I managed it, I made it
The full stop is down and
I am elated.
All the sleepless nights, the worries about the right word
The right sentence.
All the huffing and puffing
And nothing would make sense or work
But now I can say
That is the end of that.
I have done it and it feels amazing
But in the middle of all the joy,
The next project is niggling around
Poking me already
But now I am savouring the end of the project.
It wasn’t lack of trust
Of energy or structure.
It was new territory
And bigger that I had thought it would be
But I stuck to it
And somehow it worked,
I made it through, and it is bliss.
About the Creator
Jeannine Kauffmann
Poetry writer in the early morning. Poetry as a wake up call. Then later I draw lines and colours. I have a page on Instagram my art other than words although it contains words too. Titles are important to finish a piece like a full stop.
