Just a Girl on the Side

If you think it's love, think again. She's getting used and doesn't even realize it.

I.

Just a girl on the side,

never number one.

He’ll be yours

when the the other’s not around.

But you're number two

when she’s back.

II.

You’re not his love.

You’re just his play thing,

a clown for his pleasure

who gives it easy

with a fool's gold intent.

III.

You're just his side hustle

that plays you like a clown.

One day you'll be dumped.

One day you'll be forgotten.

So is the life of a foolish lover.

And, you're his fool.
