Just a Cork Out on the Ocean

Ocean is life

I’m just a cork out on the ocean

Bobbing up and down.

No purpose to my direction

No clear pathway to be found.

At the mercy of the waves,

I get dumped up on the shore,

Ripped off the next day

As the tide calls me once more.

🌊🌊🌊🌊

Just a cork out on the ocean

Bobbing all around.

I keep my head above the water

And my bum kept pointing down.

When the storm decides to change it

And swap it all around,

Not a damn thing I can do about it,

Except just keep on bobbing round.

🌊🌊🌊🌊

Life is like an ocean

And aren’t we all just corks?

Tossed around and set adrift

In a sea of love and hurt.

Like the tides that rule the ocean

Life pulls us this way and that,

Like the corks that bob and get tossed around,

Isn’t it just destiny at work?

🌊🌊🌊🌊

Till next time,

Calvin
