Joyful Summer’s Day

When happiness provides insulation

A weekend the family could all be together,

Beautiful weather for going out,

Cloudless skies overhead,

Dad was even happy and carefree,

Everything was so perfect she pinched herself to check it wasn’t a dream!

Family outings were rare, especially happy ones.

Gathering her hat and backpack,

Hot, but so excited, thinking about

Icecream!

Joyfully Evie skipped to the car,

Kissing her brother in the car seat beside her,

Longing for the day to never end,

Mom smiling, not looking stressed,

Nothing could spoil this day!

Onwards! They drove to the Zoo and

Parked not too far from the gate. Bonus!

Queries from the ticket seller, Family ticket bought!

Rare sights of animals feeding were less rare than this family having an outing & buying treats from the kiosk.

Summer bliss!

Tigers & lions pacing, relaxed pandas, sleepy koalas, bright parrots, cheeky monkeys, peeping meerkats,

Unusual animals delighting young and old!

Vulgar people commenting on their clothes

Were unable to spoil this family’s happiness today.

Xenophobia was a strange thing to bring on

Your trip to the

Zoo.
