Journey's End

A Solitary Walk on an Unfamiliar Path

Journey's End

Alone I tread, where none have gone
A path unknown, a journey long

No friends to share, no hand to hold
Just me, my thoughts, my story untold

The wind may howl, the rain may pour
But I will trudge, I will endure

For I know not what lies ahead
But I'll face it, with a heart full of dread

I'll take a step, then another still
And maybe, just maybe, I'll find my thrill

But if I should falter, if I should fall
I'll rise again, I'll stand tall

For I am the master of my fate
I'll make my mark, it's not too late

And when my journey here is done
I'll look back and say, "I have won."
