Jinxed by the Heart?

the words won't come

By Savannah K. WilsonPublished 2 years ago • Updated 2 years ago • 1 min read

The words won't come ...

I sit and wait and want nothing more than to express

Share my thoughts, my desires in my words once again

Speak of things I hope

-

But the words won't come ...

Lost in darkness and thoughts of an abyss

Yet a light approaches ... they approach

Drawing near, nervous excitement builds

-

Still ... the words don't come

Am I done? Have I written all I can?

Had my allotment of creative outpouring?

Perhaps time to give up? Listen to that voice?

-

Why won't the words come?

'Maybe I don't deserve them anymore ...'

When will the words come back?

Am I jinxed forever more by my own heart's silence?
