JESUS came for Lunch

The poet for "What if Jesus came for Lunch"

What if Jesus came to your home for lunch,

What would you say, what would you munch?

Would you be nervous, filled with dread,

Or would you welcome Him with open bread?

Would you clean up your house and make it neat,

Or would you be frazzled, rushing to beat,

The ticking of the clock as time flies,

Wondering what to serve, what to devise?

Would you ask Him questions, seek His face,

Or would you be too shy, too filled with grace,

To utter a word, to make a sound,

As the King of Kings is seated around?

Would you invite your friends to come too,

Or would you keep Him all to yourself, just you two?

Would you share your heart, your dreams, your fears,

As He listens, nods, and wipes away your tears?

What if Jesus came to your home for lunch,

What would you do, what would you munch?

May we all be ready, with open hearts and hands,

To welcome Him in, and heed His commands.
