We pick our jelly beans by color, by flavor.

Yet some never see the point in preference as long as we make our selection.

They watch closely as we dip our hand into the bowl.

Their wandering eyes make our decision difficult to process.

Yet we don't have to pick a jelly bean at all.

We can pull our hand back out empty.

We can empty our bowl,

If the bowl is all our own.

We can choose to share our little beans,

With someone who may not have the ability to obtain them.

But why do we care quite so much what other people choose?

What's the difference to me if you choose red or blue?

Please keep your your eyes on the bowl that belongs to you.
