I met someone yesterday who knows what to do when it feels worse than before
In the mirrors of aisle five who no longer hates to look
Stories above me written for the whole experience / not mine
I am made of rivers we are all water
Of something glowing white angels of grief
Of her consciousness wrapped in ribbon
She was an incandescent heart that beats through wind / every speed
Of me in the place I have been living hours standing still
An omnipotent reflection may show who you grieve
I met someone of candor who knows the weight but cannot carry it
Of grasslands where beauty is found but not taken with
Of pictures in the sky acrylic paints
They may carve this into stones etched confessions / never leaving
We may never find for what we are meant to search
A match made in the park broken corks best for busted lips
Something to capture our meeting the roll is corrupted / a thousand negatives
Meet someone each day who knows the pressure points of a passover
You are alive enough to find them yourself
Like bullet trains that speed past they are right in front of you
Of these stories who can decipher the pain and feel it the right way
You will find someone of you grieving the grief you grieve
Of blood relation meeting yesterday for the first time
