The sun is so nice to see.
It helps to remind me that I do have a future to plan for.
On cold winter days like today,
It’s easy to forget that warmth exists-
That I exist.
There are so many paths that I could take,
So many Me’s,
And all are both terrifying and exhilarating to think about.
In the middle of my racing thoughts,
And my daydreaming,
And my anxiety,
And my doubts,
I forget myself.
I forget who I am.
The sun reminds me of my potential:
That I am bright,
That I can melt the frozen clouds of doubt and fear,
And that like the sun itself
I will always rise again.
