"Every girl has a story"

Or so I've been told

Spoken clearly to me and oh so bold

She says it outloud for the world to hear

On that porch silently weeping into my beer

Numb to the thought

Ashamed and angry feels it brought

why me, not me, no no not me

Strong and smart and pretty enough

Naive and young, we were just supposed to talk

"Friend" of a "Friend" thats how it all goes

Woke up to, wait where are my clothes?

Why is every thought really fuzzy?

I dont understand, who the fuck was he?

Knowing better it was probably my fault

I'll keep it all locked up in my little vault

Unclear are the memories of the chain of events

Fearful of how many of us this represents

Makes me sick to think that this is the norm

"Every girl has a story"

Or so I've been told
