~ James Franco to me ~

There is more to be understood

than what is seen,

Blinded by the images

they receive;

Not to know or understand

Who lives in between.

Are they kind

or is it mean?

To take you at face value;

So much you say

In what you do,

Yet who understands the proof?

Where's the quiet in the mind;

The down time you can't find

Because the fans are blind?

A Privacy

for which you cannot scream

or it conflicts

with the work you chose to do;

making a living

showing all of you

sharing all you do.

You are compelled

by the spell

of what draws us in

to do what we do,

for the sake of entertainment

for the love of art,

Good or bad

You've signed up for the long haul

Because you're no quitter,

The balance comes

from the strength

of pushing thru

one project at a time;

The prize is the reward

In the Work,

The gratification

of seeing each completion;

About you after all!

Granting you a satisfaction,

The one that defines the difference

Between you and them.

So

Give them Pictures

And these words,

Go ahead and let them

Try to see

The difference of you

In between:

And in your defense

I will attempt

to pen the difference,
