Pain, anguish, hurting
Fill in the cracks of my soul
Giving me cement
To hold myself together
~
Joy, love, laughter
Fill in the cracks of her soul
Giving her cement
To hold herself together
~
Two people
Two different souls
Shaped by the same events
Holding themselves together
~
Two hearts
That share the same world
But both are two different worlds
As they barely hold together
~
His pain is his strength
But also the bitterness
That makes his soul raw and rough
Cutting those who want to touch
~
Her love is her strength
But her laughter
Make the jagged pieces of her soul
That she wants no one to see
~
A chance encounter
In two different worlds
A bumped shoulder and touched hand
Suddenly the worlds become one
~
Her laughter becomes real
His soul begins to heal
Slowly their jagged edges meld
Creating a brand new soul
~
