Jack and Sally, they fell in love,
They thought that it would be enough.
Sally loved Jack more than words could say,
She knew he was hers at the end of the day.
But Jack had a secret that he wouldn’t tell,
He buried it deep, he hid it well.
As days passed by, the whispers grew,
Telling Sally things, she never knew.
Jack had a past of broken hearts,
While Sally had grown used to being torn apart.
But the words they said blew Sally away,
And when all was said she knew she couldn’t stay.
See, Sally loved Jack but not his lies,
She was tired of trying hard not to cry.
She didn’t know who to believe,
It was time to stop wearing her heart on her sleeve.
She sat at the table staring at the notes,
Reading the words that Jack had wrote.
Men and lies. Lies and men.
Who is true and who is pretend?
For, Jack and Sally, they fell in love,
But, is love truly enough?
