Ivory Castle

The struggle and Victory of man

By Lianne OrnerPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

All of a sudden

Unhidden

Each man for himself

True nature reveals itself,

Demons slipped off the shelf

Marking the greedy -

Youre not getting off so easy.

Mother nature righting your wrongs

Throwing you into the throngs -

Catastrophe and calamity

Now you've lost your anonymity.

Conformity;

No longer do you hold your power

Standing in your tower,

Fingers dancing

Controlling the strings of adversity

For the ones with diversity.

Now you're on your knees

Please!

You bargain with all your jargon

Yet you take and you take

Lack of sympathy

Empathy

No consideration

Your silent reiteration

Of your status and entitlement

But let's be real

It's your ailment.

Hard to heal

No repeal

Runs so deep

But "as you sow, so shall you reep"

Tiny but mighty we rise

Slowly but surely

The minority becoming the majority

Because we do not ride

On the backs of the divide

That coincide with pride

And gluttony and debauchery

And power

In your ivory tower.

Even now as you cower.

We endure as we suffer

As it gets tougher

But our hearts and our dreams are on fire

Burning with desire

Surrender is not an option

Adaptation

Brings absolution

As we study

Rising up against the machine

Watching the in-between

Perfecting our plans of actions

Watching your reactions

Its only a matter of time

Heads on a pike

A verbal strike

Our voices ignite

We unite as we fight

To find our minority

Reaching the majority
