Dissent is often pictured as a raised fist of defiance.

But that is not its real face.

Dissent is often heard as a passionate rebel yell at midnight

But that is not its real voice.

Not its real whimper in the dark.

Hand washing my duvet cover in a washing up bowl, in my rented flats - shower.

This is what being a total, loser, a total failure, as an over 50-year-old looks like!

Consider my life a warning to others!

.

If you don't want to end up an undatable mess like me.

If you want to avoid my sad sack fate!?

Then you must -

CONFORM!

.

CONSUME!

.

OBEY!

!

Chase that dollar!

Or slowly go down the drain,

Like the filthy scummy laundry water, that I am, - slowly going down this shower drain of life.
