You can't see it

Sometimes you might think you hear something

Not sure you will ever know

Your siblings told you to go

But you don't think you need to follow

The floorboards creak

You think about taking a peek

Maybe it would just be nice to meet

Then you consider this would be some feat

Perhaps it would make you leap

Or even miss a heartbeat

Whatever it is, probably not something you want to keep

They said it was a freak

Bit of a creep

Past the door maybe you could just sneak

Wondering if it would be alright to greet

Then you think you see a creature appear

Not sure if was the front or the rear

You hear a loud boom

Then realise it's in the next room
