It’s All Just a Matter of_____

Is an empty space a negative space?

Sometimes I sit and wonder what happened to the words.

Did they disappear, did I lose track, and forget the ______

An aberration of my mind, a memory perhaps

Should I give up, do something else

If I can’t find the _____

I’ve wrestled with these crippling thoughts

I have wasted so much ____

I searched my brain until it hurt

Didn’t sleep, tossed and turned all night long

Searching for that perfect _____

In the end I simply have to give up

I just can’t find the _____

If I was smart, I’d just give it away

Move on to something else

Something where I don’t need to obsess about the _____

[A/n: Empty spaces, what are they all about? One person's void is another person's treasure.

This poem follows a distinct pattern. Two words can replace each to fill the 'empty spaces' and still fit. You may have a different take with your own words.]

Till next time,

Calvin
