It's Time to Pull the Plugs

They say we choose conflict because it's all we really know, and who would we be without it?

Rip the hands clenched tightly round wrists

Jump into the unknown

Release from the tight ropes of numbers painted so rigidly

Alarms that blare, waking the dead more than the blood-shot eyed masochists

Dive into the unstructured

Delivered from timelines and schedules

Automated by bots that know nothing more than zeros and ones

Crash into the crinkling sounds of a forest untouched

Liberated by the waters that flow over you

From river to sea, free

As it is time to let go of all the mistakes and catastrophes arranged so meticulously for the destruction of all that has bloomed

Let it go

Put down the knives and disconnect the red buttons from the motherboard

More than enough has been aptly dealt

This land deserves a breather

Heck we all know we could use one

So lay down the weapons and drain all the jet fuel, cut the blue, red, and yellow wires

Let it go

The game is over and no one has won

Please, it's time to move onto something better than all that's been done
