It's not a Shade

My favorite color is Black & the Rainbow

By Lialith Gaia RaenPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
Every Path meets in the middle

Somewhere between Violet and Red

I was misinformed about influence

So colors never were On my charts

I saw pink as blue and green as yellow

Sometimes the black looked purple

Depending on the past hurdles

I used to think that being Gay was wrong

Remember the pain in my chest

Every time my church sang the song

"Red and yellow black and white they are precious in his sight"

Though what I was seeing left my broken heart in so much awe

At church on Sunday when I was fifteen

My Pastor tried to convince the church

That the transvestite would influence kids to choose not wise

As I didn't choose

I was thrown into this semi dark kinda life

Though I found my true colors

Looking into another color of the rainbow's eyes.
