It's A Shift Towards A Blessing

Light Breaks Water Challenge

I sat quietly looking over the seas as it rippled, going in a horizontal direction and a vertical direction all at the same time. I wanted it to speak to me

Where do I go? I asked ever so quietly. Where do I go,- what do I do?

I didn't quite know what I expected, did I expect a mermaid from the sea to pop up and answer all my questions. Make my heartache go away.

Then I saw a ship in the distance, I didn't know what kind, and it did not matter at the moment

I stared at the light from the ship, and I saw the water ripple as the light from the ship reflected on the ocean waves.

As I looked down off the dock at the water below, I gazed upon the sea and marveled at the wonder of it and how the ripple looked like a bubble

The ocean always calmed my thoughts and looking in its reflection on the sea always pointed me in the right direction.

The light from the far away ship seemed to mesmerize me, and I soon was lost in a maze of thoughts.

The voice from the ocean spoke, no it wasn't a mermaid, or my imagination, it was the magic from the sea

It engulfed me like a set of arms hugging me and telling me that it was okay.

No one was coming to save us, no one was going to be our hero, and what I was feeling today was not sad, although disappointing.

It Was A Blessing
