It's a Human Thing

Asunder is the Earth

-

Bellowing through slender and massive

Cracks is the

Devilment known as hate.

-

Entering the mouths of babes,

Fluttering about,

Galvanizing unoriginal thoughts.

-

History reconfiguring itself to

Inhabit modernity.

-

Jammed into

Kennels brimming with our own excrement.

Licking it up.

-

Mindless geniuses,

None the wiser to the self-poisoning.

-

Oblivious to the

Parade of threats

Ravaging everything we didn't acknowledge as

Sacred.

-

Tsunamis

Undertaking formerly

Viable communities.

-

We waterboard human rights like homemade

Xylene vapors

Yanking apart the constitution of your own lung.
