It Never Fails
Five related Haiku to represent nature's subtle hold on Southern California.

I.
Smog covers L.A.
like some kid went crazy
with Rust-O-lium spray.
II.
Tallest tower seen,
glass panel glitters
in rays of red, gold and green.
III.
Ocean claims Rat Beach
with every crashing wave
on its icy white sands.
IV.
Rain patters green house,
cascades over the edge,
distorts the view outside.
V.
Weeds grow on trailer,
between fiber-glass panels.
Nature... never... fails.

Background on Poem
In 2000, this became the second poem I had published. It was in a local weekly newspaper called The Beach Reporter. To date, the stopped publishing poems, unfortunately. At least, I was able to pick up a few copies.
