It Matters

We live in a world that is rushing us

News 24/7

Loitering is illegal so we cannot even exist at our own pace we must keep going

Newer, faster, better, update update update

Underneath this massive mound of societal pressure it can be hard to see the things that truly matter

Love, experiences, friendships, being kind

These are the things that matter most

Our lives are terribly short so why would we update ourselves into early graves?

If someone is important to you, why would you wait to tell them?

I know it can be hard, we have become deaf and mute only able to speak and hear through pixels, we open our mouths and wires come out but it is our job to break that cycle

Tell your friends you love them

Compliment that stranger

Perform random acts of kindness

RIP THOSE FUCKING WIRES OUT AND BREAK THAT SCREEN

Because if you have made even one persons day better through a small action like that then you have found what it means to be human.

Your actions matter

I'm confident you can recall something someone said to you that actually changed your day, maybe your life

Do you think that was their goal?

They went into this thinking "I'm going to say something so profound it's going to change their whole worldview" ?

No, they went in with a kind heart and care for their fellow human

And guess what? It mattered at the very least to you

Be that for someone else

Or don't... what do I know? I'm just a screen telling you things that don't matter right?
