second verse, still the same curse

chasing what I lost, feel the hunger thirst

dreams in the rearview, fading in the haze

but the fire in my chest still blazing through the maze

had the crown, had the shine, had the glow

now the mirror shows a version I don’t know

but I flip the script, turn the loss to fuel

turn the pain to power, break the old rules

it got away, but I ain’t done yet

still got the drive, still place my bet

one day it’ll circle back, come around

and I’ll be ready when it hits the ground

one hand on the future, eyes on the prize

even when it slips, I still rise

it got away, but the story ain’t done

still chasing bigger, still on the run
