Bleed into that arduous, beckoning dark,
And keep close your chosen faith.
Sailing without sails on your barque.
*
Hoping to find your ark
That may as well be looking through the ocean for a wraith.
Bleed into that arduous, beckoning dark.
*
And hear that hellish bark.
To you, yourself you must swathe.
Sailing without sails on your barque.
*
To seize and capture your mark
In the unknown you must bathe.
Bleed into that arduous, beckoning dark.
*
You must be stark
Against the skaith.
Sailing without sails on your barque.
*
Go. Embark.
Destiny's wheel spins on the lathe.
Bleed into that arduous, beckoning dark.
Sailing without sails on your barque.

I missed this when it was posted and thought I was subscribed to you, fixed that. This is beautiful and paints the ocean, the sea in such an intriguing though still dangerous place, in my mind. Congrats on Top Story!

Calypso to Odysseus on the shore of Ogygia?
Back to say congratulations on the top story! ❤
I love how the first line of each stanza reduces in length as the poem reads. The increasing simplicity of those lines invokes the speaker's gradual acceptance of the danger that comes with seeking destiny in uncharted waters.
Congratulations on your top story!
