Isolated

Forced apart by the ills of the world

By smith morganPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Time ticking.

Head spinning

Now you're so far away.

The countdown keeps on going,

yet we don't know when it'll

Stop.

You said you never wanted to,

To leave me,

To go so far away.

You said I mustn't cry,

but believe me,

I did.

And I know you think of me.

I raise my eyes to that speckled void

Above both of our heads.

Each star a shining hope

That we will reunite.

Wishing that the end of this

The end of isolation

Will come as quickly as the night

Time ticking.

Head spinning

Now you're so far away.

The countdown keeps on going,

yet we don't know when it'll

Stop.
