Is Today the Day?

It can be debilitating and demoralizing. It can be overwhelming and constricting. It can be omnipresent and all-consuming.

A bull charging headfirst from every direction--he sees red as you see red. Now the bright crimson lights are flashing and you freeze. And you slump onto the ground as bells ring and a booming voice echoes from overhead.

“This. Is. Your. Life.” it repeats. Over and over.

Until it stops. The booming voice fades and washes out to sea, and the sun drips through the clouds.

Blissful silence.

And then you rise: return to normalcy.
