Iridescent Eyes

A vision is what I see with my Iridescent Eyes.
A unique and subtle path has been
bestowed unto our Humanity?
Sparkling and twinkling as if
the blind can now see?
We only saw the Black and White, Blue and Yellow, Day and Night, Good and Bad.
But what of all the other Colors?
Do we see them too?
Well I do…now…
with my Iridescent Eyes.
Red, the anger that fills our streets,
Desires burning into flames.
Green, envy within ourselves,
living lives with lies when
we can’t even commit to and for ourselves.
When the blushing Pink ravages within us,
We sweeten up and new us arises from the Baby Blues that ease us with Love.
And Love,
Love is a Marvel.
The joys, the laughters, the smiles of the mellow yellows.
Simply Happiness.
Oranges the bite of a most tasteful fruit
found in the Ever-Greens of our Land.
A Land worth all the while and all the Love.
Indigo, Purple, Royal… Royalty.
Why? Because I am standing up with Pride and Confidence that is in me.
I see Myself. I am Myself.
The one with the Iridescent Eyes.
Seeking all the colors
As they Marvel of Love too!
Our Humanity needs to survive,
We all must Live On and Let Go.
Our Pride is strong,
But love, humility, lessons learned are stronger.
That red of Hate, that green of envy
Should perish or be tamed to say the least.
Now is the Time to start anew with your own Iridescent Eyes.
For all of Us are
Unique and Sparkle in our own right!
And We, The People, are deserving
of the right lives with our Iridescent Eyes.
They say the eyes are the window to the soul.
Then lets live this Soul to the fullest extent of our Hearts
and a new vision with our own Brand New Twinkling Eyes.

A Flower Song
Apparently the Aztecs, Toltecs, Chichimecs and other Mexica were crazy about poetry. Despite the book-burning, slaughter, and epidemics that characterized the early stages of the Spanish conquest of the empires of Mexico, some hundreds of poems from the height of their tradition come down to us in Classical Nahuatl, preserved by Nahua and Spanish scholars of the 16th century. One of the most famous poets, Nezahualcoyotl, was a sage-king who opposed the cult of human sacrifice associated with Tezcatlipoca, God of the Smoking Mirror, and favored Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent. Flowers and feathers were the favorite offering of the Plumed Serpent. Moreover, flowers and feathers are a metaphor for poetry. Individual words, scattered petals, the down of tropical birds. The temples of blood sacrifice could be transformed into temples of flower and song. A sublimated offering to the Heart of Earth and the Heart of Sky encapsulated in the Classical Nahuatl kenning for poetry: in xōchitl in cuīcatl, meaning, "the flower and the song."
