Overwhelmed. Swamped by a deluge
of cascading abundance.
Engulfed. Swallowed by a huge
and raging expanse
of turmoil. A torrent revealing
its potential; becoming a backwash
of watermarked impressions. Dealing
at depth with the squish and squash
of squelching structures. Soddenly
absorbed: sipped, dipped, flipped
and ripped - agitated into strewn debris
that’s all about a carcass stripped.
. Sodden and soaked - saturated.
. Clogged and choked - inundated.

A first impression has a lasting effect - it makes a notable difference. In a subtle way that’s who I am as a poet. A ‘first impression’ looking for the gentle ‘twist’ that draws attention to a novel observation.
