Intoxicating Love

Tarin McDaniel

By Tarin McDanielPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

A lifetime full of choices,

All completely void of pride.

I know I've been reckless and selfish.

This is where self-destruction seems to reside.

The key to my destruction

Lies within my love for you.

Hearts only poison their own reasoning,

Forcing a love that could never be true.

I misplaced all of my logic,

And in its absence my sanity fled.

Stupidity spreads like consumption,

And from the epidemic spreads.

It's an unfortunate side effect,

An addiction your love brought about.

The intoxication is like no other.

My only fear is of running out.
