Into The Void

I traveled down the path beyond

and came upon a trail

I missed a turn along the way

hidden by the veil

I flashed my light unto a door

that quietly appeared

The shadows shone through blue-eyed stares

emanating fear

Scattered thoughts I stepped inside

I’d find a willing friend

Entwined within a moments’ pass

The portal played pretend

The sun escaped and night began

prowling through the skies

The stars that glistened in their glory

hidden in disguise

I turned around and gazed upo n

an angel soon appeared

Who flew me to that open gate

I quickly disappeared
