Into Sorrow

A poem

Into sorrow,

Misery in that drowning mind,

Of tears and pain,

To feel that blade,

To feel a memory

Of a kiss,

Into that sweet night,

Alas, a mere dream,

In constant sorrow,

A whisper in that mind's eye,

To hear the roaring of the wind,

To fight,

For what?

Dreams?

A ghost?

I hear the silence, not dare a whisper,

To not feel,

To not cry,

Oh my sorrow,

Do you dare let me sleep in joy?

Dare you let me be?

Here I lie,

A broken shell,

A lifeless soul,

In this meat bag of a body,

The mind screaming out,

RELEASE! BE FREE! FLY!

But I am trapped,

To be not free,

My wings clipped,

Oh joyless dream,

A night mare,

Into sorrow's embrace,

To siege,

Release,

Only upon the grave,

I shall not sleep,

Oh my dear sorrow.

A poet who cannot rhyme, a dreamer who dreams in reality, realist who gave up realism last week as part of his plea agreement. The courts got nothing!! Nothing!
