Ether House
You found me behind empty menus –
erased. I was a discarded napkin,
an appetizer. Fumbled like funneling glass
I said goodbye to metal on wrist and found
you below me. Bellow into me.
Storm like thrifty clouds and seldom sound
& music as it spits and twists into our mouths,
tied into our ether house.
You were one abstracted number and I
wanted you to qualify, quantify. Say I.
I wanted you to flower through
each ajar piece of mine
& rest with me.
