Intertwined Senses

When senses become one

In a realm where words transcend,

A tapestry of senses blend.

Through the rhythm of poetic art,

Let the five senses play their part.

Sight, the painter of our world,

Unveils wonders yet unfurled.

Behold the dawn, a golden hue,

As sunlight dances, breaking through.

Mountains rise, majestic and grand,

Their peaks caressed by clouds' soft hand.

A meadow blooms in vibrant array,

Colors alive, a symphony at play.

Hearing, the melody of life,

Amidst the chaos and the strife.

Listen to the whisper of the breeze,

As it rustles leaves upon the trees.

Birds serenade with joyful song,

Nature's chorus, sweet and strong.

A symphony of laughter and tears,

Resonates through the passing years.

Touch, the language of connection,

Weaving bonds in each direction.

Feel the warmth of a lover's embrace,

A gentle touch, a tender grace.

Run barefoot through the silky sand,

Imprints left with each footfall's brand.

A soft caress, a hand to hold,

The power of touch, a story untold.

Taste, the flavor of delight,

A feast for senses, day or night.

Savor the sweetness of ripe fruit,

Juices bursting, nature's tribute.

Indulge in spices, bold and deep,

A culinary journey, secrets to keep.

Bitter, sour, salty, and sweet,

A symphony of flavors to meet.

Smell, the essence of memories,

Unveiling secrets and histories.

Inhale the fragrance of blooming flowers,

Perfume the air in fragrant showers.

The earth after rainfall, fresh and pure,

Aromatic whispers, memories endure.

Baking bread, a comforting embrace,

The scent of love, filling the space.

Through senses intertwined, we explore,

Worlds unseen and tales galore.

In a tapestry of words, we find,

The power to captivate heart and mind.

So let the senses guide our way,

As we traverse each poetic display.

In every verse, a sensory feast,

An invitation to partake, at least.

About the Creator

Chrystal Holdren

I have always been “messed up” or “crazy”, “psycho” or “nuts” in the eyes of others. I finally realized maybe it’s just easier for those eyes to see me that way instead of trying to understand the pain I’ve been through in my life.
