International Vigilance for Democracy Day

The Holiday founded by Archbishop Matthew Primous

By Distinguished Honorary Alumni Dr. Matthew PrimousPublished 5 months ago • 1 min read

Our democracy is an institution of justice

Restlessly move forward

Restlessly strive

Restlessly believe in the power of consensus

Focus on unity

Focus on community

Build on brotherhood

Build on morals

Build on compassion

Our democracy is an instrument of peace

How to live among each other

How to come together

How to defeat oppression

Unite and band together

Unite against division

Unite knowing we can overcome

Strength in numbers

Strength in courage

Strength in love

Our democracy is eternal if we keep the flame burning

If we fight relentlessly

If we remember

If we believe

If we refuse to be silent

Remember it's our democracy

It's our freedom

It's our rights

It's our power

Democracy

And universal freedoms
