Cut at the throat by the eyes
Dehumanized by society
The tissue grows cold
Ostracized and excommunicated
The lies of those that deceive
The shame and humiliation
Of the scars so vivid
Everyone knows
No one understands
The me inside that screams
Wanting to be heard
But no voice to shout
Broken and never to be mended
Defragmented by those of betrayal
Steaming from the graves untold
Only one heart can matter
But its beyond intractability
So dark and dank
Nothing so much as a memory
Can replace what was taken
Stripped naked
Drowned by the sins
Protectors with no grief
One’s own bed lies no comfort
Misery and mortification
Leads the road unpaved
In the uncertainty of it all
