INTENTION

An Observation

INTENTION

We were wondering why God put Stu in your life

That was a mystery unsolved until this very day

So the reason was not to spend the rest of your life together after all

That was not God's intention

I surmise it was only to help both of you to survive

The challenging and messy situations you were in

For him to overcome the catastrophic effects of divorce

And as for you, you needed somebody on your side

For comfort and refuge from being bullied and targeted

by a co-worker in the workplace

You fell in love

It happened so quickly

You both chose and came up with solutions

And consciously made decisions

Which for two years you lived by and worked with

Hoping and aiming to live a shared life forever

Two exciting years of knowing and connecting with new friends

Doing and experimenting new things

Learning new trades

Life was good, it was fun

There were ups and downs

You managed to talk them through

Until one day, you woke up

Realizing, Oh no! This is not what you signed up for?

This is not how you want to enjoy

The remaining productive years of your life?

Broken promises, unmet expectations

And a list of red flags

In your heart and mind, you know it is over

Now that we know the intention is different

From what we are hoping for

Time to move on

To embark on another journey

To end this chapter

And begin a new story.
