There are days
When I can't
The emotions have built up
Like waves of chaos
ready to destroy
My ever so gently built
mental health
Those days I turn on my favorite comfort show
"You have an idea of how
your life is going to turn out"
The first line in "the Mindy Project"
And I've got instant serotonin
Mindy is a mess, a project.
She's not perfect
She doesn't fit society's
idea of success
Mindy still tries
Mindy gets her imperfect dream life anyway
If a character as flawed as Mindy
Can still work
For her dream, her desires
Maybe I can too?
I know I'm not perfect
Sometimes I'm a mess
I'm always a project
I am still worthy of my dream
Because I decided so
Like Mindy
In the last episode
Mindy and Danny choose a show
"Is this good?"
"Yeah"
"Okay"
And I'm okay
