Swan Song -

Every word comes out
Tarred and feathered, choking fear
Regret lifts my wings

Whiter Shade of Pale -

Basking in the light
Frightful of the world’s blank stage
Mercury stained face

Between two lungs -

Huffing and puffing
Truth is a stale breath of air
Trapped between my lungs

I noticed that fellow Vocal writer Paul Stewart was completing a haiku challenge centered around songs. I love Haiku and Music, so I decided to write a few. I have been a little too scattered lately to complete the entire 50 day challenge as set forth by Alyson Smith, so I am sharing the few I wrote, and if I come up with some more, I will post those too.
