Insomnia My True Story
I have struggles all my life yet Doctors refuse help

In the stillness of night, insomnia takes its hold,
A relentless companion, both weary and cold.
Doctors don’t understand; they turn a blind eye,
Lost in the loneliness of a heart’s silent cry.
Each tick of the clock is a reminder of pain,
As thoughts swirl around, like storms in the rain.
Hope feels like a dream that drifts far away,
As the hours stretch endlessly, refusing the day.
A cross I must carry, this burden I know,
As silent tears fall, where shadows softly grow.
I cry out to God, in a whisper to the skies,
Yearning for comfort, with each silent sigh.
In bed, I feel physically ill when the lights go out,
This struggle within me, a silent, loud shout.
A new day arrives, where the light starts to break,
I wander through nightmares, with out a break.
The hours stretch endlessly; rest is so far away,
In this suffocating night, I’m lost wanting the day.
As dawn gently breaks, it adds to my pain,
The cycle begins anew like an unending chain.
Each ray that shines bright feels heavy and raw,
A reminder of struggles that haunt me in awe.
So while the sun rises, it stirs up the dread,
And the shadows of night cling tight to my head.
Though daybreak unfolds, bringing light to my fears,
I hold onto shadows, and I drown in my tears.
For as day starts anew, the struggle remains,
In the grip of insomnia, where no peace reigns.
Yet still, in this darkness, I weather the day,
Tired and ill, but I know I can’t snooze,
For if I sleep in the day, another night’s sleep I lose.
