I can’t sleep tonight.

Waking- I remember that

I forgot something.

-

My alarm? It’s set.

The door? It’s secure and locked.

What then rouses me?

-

Moon shines through the pane.

Cold fingers wake me, scolding

‘Who will save the world?’
