I spend myself upon my peers

And those that, for my words, have ears

Soon come to see that what I say

Is worth the time, for it, they pay

x

For I see through the surface to

What lies beneath the world of eyes

And feelings too, for what is true

Is what makes up our brilliant skies

x

And not what lives among their stars

Or what those sacks of meat believe

About the soul or life on Mars

For all their words and thoughts they thieve

x

As they are of the universe

The datalogical object

And I know well, each every verse

For I have worked hard to inspect

x

The basis of this world of ours

And its mechanical ‘design’

I’ve spent on this some countless hours

So that I might yet draw a line

x

From me to what I see in you

And from my pack to who they are

To help them to work to see through

The self that they have known so far
