Inside her

Electric ghosts?

By A. S. LawrencePublished 10 days ago • 1 min read

There's a gray and blackened spider,

with all the skulls that autumn grieves,

swimming in the amber cider.

Up on the porch where it's brighter,

their webbing where the column cleaves,

there's a gray and blackened spider.

We should look deeply inside her

but focus on the bug that weaves,

swimming in the amber cider.

Beside transcendent provider,

the great color our world achieves,

there's a gray and blackened spider.

Nocturnal concert of lighters,

the decorations fall conceives,

swimming in the amber cider

Beauty marred, as if to spite her,

the monsters still outweigh the leaves.

There's a gray and blackened spider

swimming in the amber cider.
