Inside

Staring in the dark,

the boy in his bed,

Wonders what's inside.

Scared of a monster,

real or not,

Possibly hiding inside.

Tormented by fear,

the kid still stares,

wanting to check inside.

Stepping out of bed,

into the dark,

to go see what's inside.

Creeping towards the door,

hoping that he will

find nothing inside.

The fear that rests,

the tension he has

building all inside.

Slowly opening the door,

he sees nothing out of sorts,

when he finally looks inside.

And from that day on,

the boy feels relief,

inside.
