Always the wrong choices

True hope so hard to maintain
Desperation rears it’s claws
Darkness wins and rejoices

Evil claims a new domain
Growing, spreading without pause
Disturbing sound and noises

Battles fought solely within
Light struggles to survive
Many factions waging war
Destruction begins to reign

Frightened soul comes to ruin
No direction to strive
Empty, broken, shattered, core
Tattered, violent, and insane

Knowing, fearing, everything amiss
Forever falling into an abyss
